Review
MonumentSTORY / GAMEPLAY
A species of alien robots unleashes a deadly attack against the colony marking one of the wildest moments in mankind's history. A group of survivors decides to counterattack equipped with superconducting weapons they prepared for the ultimate attempt to repel the alien forces and reach the Monument. You control a soldier wandering in the destroyed city to find the Monument within the ruins. But you must be very careful as the city is swarmed by the hostile robots. You have to shoot the robots and find your way to the Monument safely. Apart from the metal menace you must also avoid enemy mines and mounted cannons! Monument is a quite difficult game to play as you can die too easily, especially by mines and other traps.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics are nicely drawn and, although their limited colors, the game is well designed and represents a great post-apocalyptic atmosphere. The animation is quite smooth with no particular problems, but the game runs in flip screen mode. As far as the sound, Monuments has a few sound effects such as gunfire and explosions, but no in-game music or even an introductory tune.
